A Life Blessed with Laughter and Love

by Susan Kern

God has been merciful and put the most amazing people into my days. Mucho Blessings!

My most precious memory makers are Wally, Whitney, Hunter, Marli, Louise, Barry, Bill and Patti

Gracias - Arigato - Merci - Thank you

* To my prayer warriors - you carried me.
* To my gentle giant oncologist, Dr. Mark Kochenderfer and his staff - clear sails.
* To S.W. County's band of Angels - you turned my mountains into rainbows.

Hasta la vista -

Some of her favorites:

Regarding scriptures, Susan had many favorites, but through this last year Romans 12:11_12 meant a lot to her, especially the part about being patient in affliction. Romans 8:28 is another one dear to her, as well as Isaiah 40 about those that wait on the Lord shall renew their strength. Her life verse was Phil 4:13 "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."

Two of her very favorite songs were "Shout to the Lord" and "Evermore" (by Geron Davis). We sang these at her Jan 9th celebration service. We also played The Perfect Fan which Hunter dedicated to his Mom.

Fra Giovanni’s Christmas Prayer

I salute you! There is nothing I can give you which you have not; but there is much that, while I cannot give, you can take.

No heaven can come to us unless our hearts find rest in it today. Take Heaven.

No peace lies in the future which is not hidden in the present moment. Take Peace.

The gloom of the world is but a shadow; behind it, yet within our reach is joy. Take Joy!

And so, at this Christmas time, I greet you, with the prayer that for you, now and forever, the day breaks and the shadows flee away.
